Lockheed Martin Senior Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado
This System Engineer position will develop Technical Order/Technical Manuals for the SBIRS, Survivable, Endurable, Evolution (S2E2) Program. Responsibilities will include collaboration with subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates; technical order development; incorporation of material from vendors and subcontractors; and technical order validation efforts. Responsibilities may also include writing hardware procedures. Travel to Boulder and/or GANGS may be required for development or validation efforts.
Secret clearance required prior to start.
Basic Qualifications -Technical Order or Technical Manual Development - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project) - Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members - Effectively manage change
Desired skills -Use of tools such as Arbortext and ISO Draw - Familiar with SGML, FOSI, and DTD -Familiar with MIL-STD-38784, Standard Practice For Manuals, Technical: General Style and Format Requirements -Familiar with MIL-DTL-87929, Technical Manuals, Operation and Maintenance Instructions in Work Package Format (For USAF Equipment) -Familiar with MIL-DTL-38807, Technical Manuals - Illustrated Parts Breakdown -Familiar with MIL-PRF-38769, Manuals, Technical: Work Unit Code - Preparation of -Familiar with MIL-PRF-5096, Manuals, Technical – Inspection and Maintenance Requirements; Acceptance and Functional Check Flight Procedures and Checklists; Inspection Work Cards; and Checklists; Preparation of -Familiar with MIL-PRF-32216, Evaluation of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Manuals and Preparation of Supplemental Data - Metrics development and tracking
