Clinical Project Manager III
Key Functions (Role can be 100% remote)
Oversees the planning and implementation of approvedprojects.
Ensures projects meet budget, schedule and scoperequirements.
Provides leadership to projects in the following areas:
Project governance and planning
Project activities, schedule and responsibilities
Risk and Issue Management
Vendor/Contract Management – ordering of vendorproducts/services as needed
People Change Management
Enforces project management standard practices.
Assembles reports on project status, including progress andresource deployment.
Monitors all project linkages, dependencies, and enablers.
Identifies, monitors, and tracks risk.
Monitors resource utilization.
Monitors and coordinates all project related communications.
Travels as required to manage phases of projects.
Ensures the quality and success of the project deliverablesand is accountable for managing risks and issues that come up.
Focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget andwithin planned scope.
Provides feedback on project learnings and best practicesfrom projects
Develops education material on key learnings, best practiceideas and project audit feedback and teaches other PM’s as part of continuousimprovement process.
Leads post-project audits with PMO staff and management.
Develops deep skills in specific project managementfunctions and for key types of projects
Provide mentoring to PM I’s and PM II’s.
This role leads complex projects and major programs.
Works autonomously and provides strong leadership to theirproject teams.
Purchases approved vendor IT products and services asrequired by projects up to financial limits (TBD).
Skills, Requirements,and Certifications (Includes specific or unique technical skills / knowledge /experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or relatedtechnical field required.
5 years of project management experience and 7 years oftotal IT/project management experience required.
Need to have a wide variety of healthcare applications experience, multiplevendors.
Proven successful track record.
Has managed resources/budgets.
May substitute an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
Experience with implementing project management bestpractices and
frameworks such as PMI or CMM is required.
Must possess PMI PMP certification.
Has managed implementations of multiple projects concurrently.
Experience in all of the project management disciplinesdescribed in the Responsibilities – General section of this profile isrequired.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project is required.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience leading project teams is required.
Communicates effectively with PM Leads, CHI management andstakeholders regarding project status.
Coordinates activities across ITS and Application functionsas needed for projects
Coordinates project purchasing requirements with Client andVendor management group and associated technical specialists in One IT asneeded
Coordinates with PM leads on developing continuousimprovement training for all PM’s
