Right now, we are seeking an InformationSecurity Engineer based at our Montvale, NJ facility. This position is also available at our Global Headquarter’s in Denver, CO.

The Information Security Engineer is tasked with supporting the WU encryption infrastructure and working with various IT teams to provide encryption guidance and engineering. The Engineer is known as one of the SME’s for Encryption solutions within the Information Security team. Encryption solutions range from traditional on-prem to cloud and hybrid implementations, however the focus will deal with Encryption of Data at Rest.

  • Theengineer’s role will be to create strategy, build infrastructure andprocess, and certify Western Union’s security posture regarding Encryptionof Data at Rest

  • Serve as atechnical expert for enterprise security operations.

  • Manage, reviewand build key management systems

  • Assist withstrategic initiatives around future security infrastructure and tools –such as advanced threat protection, data encryption, and key management

What you will need to succeed:

  • 3 to 5 years ofexperience supporting a centralized encryption key management system

  • Experience withGemalto suite - Key Secure – ProtectApp, ProtectFile, TDE

  • Knowledge of thetypes of encryption keys and their implementation

  • Understanding ofHSMs and their role in an enterprise

  • Knowledge ofjava and dotnet coding (web applications development at plus)

  • Strongexperience with web technologies (scripting, SSL, HTTP/S) and theirsecurity requirements

  • Experience with encryption key management and lifecycle for data at rest

  • Experience with certificate management and PKI

  • Experience withall versions of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and LDAP

  • Experience withvarious network, DNS, web, VPN and perimeter protection technologies

  • Familiarity withregulatory encryption requirements: PCI, GDPR, NYCL

  • Ability tocollaborate with technical and vendor personnel, cloud service providers.

  • Ability tocommunicate technical security requirements to business units andimplement security plans

  • Availableoccasional off-hours on-call for security incidents and escalations.

  • Industrycertifications such as: SANS (GCFW, GCIH, GPEN, GCIA, GCFA), CISSP,Microsoft (MCSE+security) preferred

  • BS degree incomputing or information systems OR 6+ years of information securityand/or network security experience

  • Experience withRSA Data Protection Management

  • Experience withvarious network, DNS, web, VPN and perimeter protection technologies

  • Ability toprogram in shell / scripting languages, SQL query and manipulation.

  • Strongexperience with linux operating systems.

  • Strong inTCP/IP, network packets analysis, firewall technology, IDS/IPS technology.

  • Strong withSIEM, event correlation technologies
